I was diagnosed with Auditory Epilepsy by a Neurologist last year after I had a passing out episode outside and completely blacked out and woke up with my face on the pavement my friends took me to the hospital but I was stabile when they took me over there and I just needed to get my strength back and the tests were normal then too. I have these episodes every couple years not every day or week or month but every few years give or take 3 or 4 or 5. They could happen at any time but mostly indoors and only one happened outside and I had them ever since I was 11 or something. Is there a spiritual, mythological, unexplainable or religious reason for this? I was born Nichiren Buddhist and I don't practice it that much and have been told that it could cure my epilepsy but I don't know if I have cuz the tests are all NORMAL. Can anyone help me? People from all walks of life are welcome.

I had seizures for about 18 years, and never had a test that could explain why. All of my tests were normal. It's actually more common than you'd think. Doctors don't know a lot of things about the brain. And, actually, speaking of faith healing you, my seizures were the worst (up to 7 a day) while I was spending 1 1/2 years serving God full-time. Then one day, many years later, they just stopped as suddenly as they started.
I believe that everything that happens is for a reason, and sometimes the problem or condition is not supposed to go away, but if it IS supposed to stop then it will be in God's time not yours, no matter how strong your faith is.
If you are looking for a greater reason behind your seizures, then try to figure out how you can grow from this experience. I feel like I learned to have more empathy because of my experience. I can relate to people dealing health problems, and ones who wonder if they are doing something wrong to cause it , because I've been there. Find how this experience can have a positive side, and pray for help finding it if you need the help. I know that there is a Higher Power, which I call God, and I believe that He loves all of us.

Approximately 80 % of people with epilepsy show nothing on the tests. The doctors do not even have a clear answer why so many are epileptic. There is no spiritual reason for this. When someone has a siezure it is like thier brain is short circuiting. Many people have siezures due to stress. I am not sure what your religious beliefs are, but I do not believe that God or Buddha or any other being causes medical conditions in humans. I hope this helps.
